About Me

Hello everyone, my name is Paul Blake, and I’m from London, England.

I started writing in 2016 when I took a creative writing module to complete my degree after failing far too many programming modules.

In July 2017, I entered an opening chapter and synopsis to the 2017 Pen to Print: The Book Challenge and after being shortlisted my novel A Young Man’s Game achieved third place. A Young Man’s Game is out now published by New Generation Publishing.

I have published a short story collection Love In the Mind, which contains two of my short-stories Jumping Someone Else’s Train and (Don’t You) Forget About Me. These stories are not on my blog and can only be found in the collection.

I am writing this blog as a way to showcase the work I produced during my studies, share short stories I have written and to promote myself to hopefully a receptive audience as my career as a writer takes off.

I welcome feedback, comments and critiques so please feel free to contact me using the form here, or on Twitter – @paulblakeauthor.

I am married to my beautiful wife, Helen and we have been together twenty years this July. We have three usually wonderful children.

Thank you for visiting, I hope you make it a regular thing.

Further information is available on this page which contains interviews I have done.
